Last year on this very date I was out in the flower field, tilling the soil for some early planting. As much as I want to be out there NOW, this year Mother Nature has had different plans. After a relatively easy winter with very little snow, we've had colder than normal temperatures through March which is making me pretty antsy! Even though we aren't out planting quite yet, a walk around the farm revealed some great signs of Spring. A promise that we will be soon be enjoying warmer weather, spring rains and sunshine, and most excitedly -- FLOWERS!

Snowdrops are one of the first bulbs to bloom each spring.

One of our favorite perennials, this Sedum is already sprouted and growing despite the winter temperatures!
